What is a hologram hot stamping foil made of?

Hot-stamping foil is a type of multi layered film. Generally, the foil starts with a 20 Micron Polyester carrier which is painted with a waxy release layer. Another special coating is applied with the top coating layer to resist any hostile environment the foil will be exposed to. This special coating on the foil protects the whole foil , including everything beneath it. Beneath the top coating, there is the emboss able coating. This coating receives the embossing of image. Using vacuum deposition of aluminum layer, the material is then metalized.
